Georgia
Free trade with the EU, little bureaucracy and a port on the Black Sea.
Georgia has a deep free trade agreement with the EU and a business climate that is pragmatically arranged: setting up a company or closing a contract takes little time there. For western clients that is mainly interesting for final assembly and smaller runs.
The connection runs across the Black Sea or overland through Turkey, which makes the lead time shorter than from Central Asia. Work that has become too expensive in Western Europe and comes too slowly out of Asia often lands exactly right here.
What to watch: the scale is limited. At large volumes you run into capacity limits quickly, and many supplies come from neighbouring countries. Work through the chain, not just the ex works price.
What we do here
For each project we establish together which parts you need. This is what usually belongs to it in Georgia.
- Market research on assembly and finishing capacity
- Assessment of supply and material flows
- Contract with quality and lead time commitments
- Start up support and inspection of the first runs
